Grafham Water Centre
County Council Leader Nick Clarke joined youngsters from a Fenland school for a sailing lesson here at Grafham Water Centre.
He received one-to-one tuition with instructor Dave Barker before joining children from Friday Bridge Primary School near Wisbech, who were on a residential visit to the Centre.
Cllr Clarke - who was elected Leader of Cambridgeshire County Council in May - was on a fact-finding visit of the Centre.
He said: "I was extremely impressed by the facilities at Grafham Water Centre, its management and the quality of the instructors who do so much with children - both from schools in Cambridgeshire and beyond. They teach them invaluable lessons about teamwork, managing risk and having fun. I would like to thank them all for the warm welcome I received."
