Grafham Water Centre caters for residential and day visits for schools. Situated in over 15 acres on the shoreline of Grafham Water it provides the ideal setting for a range of challenging watersports and land-based activities which include sailing, kayaking, orienteering, problem solving, climbing and more.

These activities provide the foundation for learning and contribute to the outcomes set within "Every Child Matters". These outcomes include:

Increasing self-confidence, Enjoyment and achievement, Communication, Co-operation, Teamwork and respect for others, Enhancing Leadership, Adopting a healthy lifestyle.

With the addition of a brand new accomodation block, completed in 2009, the Centre can now accomodate larger group sizes. Other benefits include, refurbishment of existing buildings with updated accomodation, additional lounges, a further dining area and improved access.

The Centre aims to make every aspect of a residential visit educational, from the pupils making their beds when they arrive to laying the table for meal times and clearing away after, to thinking about the safety of themselves and their peers during activities.
