FOR SCHOOLS
All residentials have food included in their stay.
Please check if you want or have food included in your visit if you are not a residential visit.
All our food is prepared onsite by our dedicated catering team; we take special care when designing our menu to be as child friendly as possible to ensure everyone gets the fuel they need to enjoy their action-packed adventure!
Upon arrival, you will sit down with our chef to discuss all of your needs including dinner times, allergies and rules of the dining room. We work on supporting students with developing their independence skills by making sure they leave the dining room how they found it.
At Grafham Water Centre, we provide over 14,500 meals for young people and guests each year.
We cater for a variety for groups including schools, private bookings, corporate events and adult courses.
We provide catering for all residential school customers from dinner on the first day of the residential up until departure. We provide 3 tasty and nutritious meals a day which are attractive to children’s palates.
We have a fresh fruit platter at breakfast and dinner and a fruit bowl throughout the day for children to enjoy. We offer a self- service salad bar for children to help themselves as to as much as they like at lunchtime.
There is also a freshly prepared hot meal at mealtimes throughout the week.
There are many ways we can look at reducing the carbon footprint within our business. We have taken the stance avoiding single-use plastics, reduce food waste and eat less meat.
This introduction of our plant-based days will drive us towards a healthier environment. We have adopted great plant-based options such as sweet potato & spinach curry and rice, vegetarian spaghetti and meatballs, stuffed butternut squash made with lentils and our mighty burger with chips.
Grafham Water Hospitality team can provide meals for a wide variety of dietary requirements; these needs include food allergies as specified by medical professionals, cultural or religious considerations as well as vegetarian/vegan options.
Information relating to complex dietary requirements should be provided at the time of booking. Groups must state any individual dietary requirements on their Final Details form. We may not be able to plan at short notice.
Once a booking is made, our Business Support Team will work with our customers to ensure that we capture all dietary needs required before their visit with us.
We do have a nut free policy for our Centre; for the safety of others, please do not bring any food items that contain nuts to our Centre.
It is a matter of pride and principle that no child leaves the dining room hungry! We will always offer an alternative meal to ensure that the child is fed and happy.
We always welcome your comments and would be delighted to discuss any aspect of our catering with you. If you have any comments, please let us know as soon as you can, whilst you are visiting the Centre, so we can adapt to your requirements.
