Terms & Conditions

The full cost of the course is payable on booking unless alternative arrangements have been made. Payment should be accompanied by a completed booking form.

We regret provisional bookings cannot be accepted.

Payment and booking may be made by phone when accompanied with an appropriate credit (MasterCard or Visa) or debit card.

We then ask you to post, fax or email the booking form in order for us to have written confirmation.

Cheques should be made payable to ‘Cambridgeshire County Council’.

Cancellation by You

No refunds will be made against course payments.  You are advised to take out your own personal insurance for this eventuality.

Transfer of courses may be made at the discretion of the Centre Manager and must be notified at least 28 days prior to the commencement of the course. A charge of 10% may be made to cover administration costs

Grafham Water Centre reserves the right to cancel if conditions outside of our control demand or if course numbers do not reach a viable level. In these circumstances an alternative will be offered or a full refund will be made. Should an alternative be accepted this would be subject to the same terms and conditions as the original booking.

Please note we cannot be responsible for any costs or expenses you may incur as a result of the cancellation.

Many of our courses are physically demanding and you should ensure that you have an adequate level of fitness. Grafham Water Centre should be informed of any medical problems or an inability to swim. This will not disqualify participation. If you are in any doubt please discuss this with your doctor or with Grafham Water Centre beforehand.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure accuracy in this publication, Grafham Water Centre can accept no liability whatsoever for any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, or for any matter in any way connected with or arising out of the publication of this information. If you are in any doubt please check before making your booking.

Cambridgeshire County Council’s insurance covers all legal liabilities of Grafham Water Centre to students but does not cover personal injury or loss when there is no liability on the part of Grafham Water Centre or its employees. In this respect and for cancellations by you, we advise you to take out your own personal insurance.

• Tea and coffee breaks
• Lunch (On whole day courses only) 
• Use of personal protective and safety clothing (eg. buoyancy aids, wetsuits, safety harnesses etc)
• Instruction by staff trained to National Governing Body standards
• RYA logbooks and handbooks at the appropriate level

• Insurance (see separate information)
• Specialist footwear
• Towels
• Accommodation (unless otherwise stated)

Weekend Course or Day Course

Day courses take the format of Day 1 unless otherwise stated in the course description.
