We have a wide range of different clubs and associations available for you to join. These have been designed for you to explore new skills or develop existing ones and meet other like minded people. +Grafham Centre Association (GCA)

Our popular Grafham Centre Association provides our customers with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in a relaxed atmosphere. Membership enables you to use Centre equipment and safety cover as well as meeting up with other like minded enthusiasts. GCA meets every Thursday evening from 5.30pm to dusk, 5 April until 6 September 2018 and alternate Saturdays 1.30pm to 4.30pm, 10 March until 17 November 2018. Minimum age 14 years.

GCA Youth section

GCA Youth is for ages 8 to 18 yrs.

The Youth Section meets on alternate Saturdays 2.00pm to 4.30pm, 17 March to 27 October 2018.

Members of the GCA Youth section are required to have a minimum of 2 seasons sailing experience and hold at least an RYA Youth Stage 2 certificate.

Pay & Play

For GCA members, we also offer Pay & Play (for RYA Level 2 Adult sailors and above). Pay & Play enables you to call at any time during the week to check we have safety cover on the water. If this is the case, and you are the required standard, you to go out onto the water, safe in the knowledge that there is safety cover.

Pay & Play must be booked by telephoning the Centre a minimum of 24hrs in advance in order to check availability.

+Paddlesports Club

Our Paddlesports Club has proved so popular that we are now opening the club to both adults and young people. Meeting every Tuesday evening 6.00pm to 8.00pm from April until September and alternative Saturday afternoons 2pm - 4.30pm from March until September 2017. This club offers members the chance to gain BCU qualifications as well as getting out on the water with other like-minded paddlers. Our younger members have the opportunity to develop their skills under the instruction of a BCU Coach whilst for adults it offers the chance to unwind after a busy day with instruction being provided as the need arises.

Established 15 years ago, Sailability is a sailing club run by the physically disabled for the physically disabled, with the help of able bodied volunteers. The Club sails every Thursday afternoon from April until October from 1pm onwards, in 15ft Challenger Trimarans which are specially designed and adapted to suit a variety of needs and also a Drascombe Long-boat. Qualified instructors are available to provide expertise for the less experienced students and safety cover is provided when out on the water.  

+Climbing Club

If Climbing is your sport we have a popular club who meet on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening, 7.00pm to 9.30pm throughout the year. This club offers the opportunity to develop your skills on our indoor climbing wall under the watchful eye of a member of our instructional team. The club also offers the opportunity to climb on other local walls as well as arranging trips to climb on natural rock.

We will be offering Introduction to Climbing sessions and Beginners Climbing Courses on Thursday evenings throughout the year, so if you are new to climbing, this could be for you. Dates, times and prices are listed in our Climbing section of the website.
