D of E News 2027!

3rd November 2026

Looking for an unforgettable summer adventure while completing your Duke of Edinburgh's Award? Our Gold Residential Course in August 2027 offers the perfect opportunity to achieve your residential section while making new friends, developing new skills, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Designed specifically for Gold Award participants, our residential course brings together young people from across the UK for an action-packed experience filled with exciting activities, personal development opportunities, and plenty of fun.

Over the course of the residential, participants will spend time away from home, working and learning alongside people they may not have met before, helping them build confidence, independence, and teamwork skills. Whether you're an experienced adventurer or looking to try something completely new, our supportive instructors will help you get the most out of your week.

The programme includes a range of outdoor and water-based activities, giving participants the chance to challenge themselves, learn new skills, and enjoy the great outdoors in a safe and welcoming environment. Evenings are equally important, with social activities designed to help participants bond, share experiences, and build lasting friendships.

The Gold Residential section is often one of the most rewarding parts of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award journey, encouraging participants to step outside their comfort zone and experience life in a new setting. Many previous attendees have left with increased confidence, new perspectives, and friendships that continue long after the course has ended.
