THEMED
England's third largest reservoir can be found nestled in 1500 acres of beautiful countryside.
Grafham Water has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest for over 30 years. Our western end features a 280 acre nature reserve and is home to ancient woodlands, reed beds and important populations of several bird and amphibian species.
Our site and reservoir lays on 165 million year old foundations that are perfect for finding fossils, rocks and different types of soils.
Our outdoor learning packages provide a wider educational experience whilst still enjoying the great outdoors.
We currently offer a Rocks, Soils and Fossils theme and a Habitat Adventure themed visit. The visits have been designed using the National Curriculum across Key Stages 1 and 2 to create an educational experience for your learners.
We can tailor these visits to be specific to your learning objectives and include adventurous activities during your visit to combine learning with new experiences.
These visits can be any length and your outcomes will be discussed before your arrival.
