Pioneering is the designing and constructing of equipment for a practical use. Pupils will use their team building and communication skills to participate in an activity selected by the instructor.
This can range from a tower or construction to keep your team off the ground, to constructing a bridge across a river or pond, building a usable kart, or designing an animal.
These are all designs that are created using wooden poles, plastic barrels and rope.
During our sessions we highlight key areas of the National Curriculum. This benefits students as they can relate skills to real life.
What skills do we teach in Pioneering that link to core skills?
